During spring 2022 dancer and choreographer Samuli Emery asked Linda to be a part of the show Moves Like Summeri (produced by Yle) as a musician and composer for his dance piece Time.

The show was a contest between 3 dance teams (teams green, pink and blue) performing a choreography by 3 different dancers; Alex Komulainen (blue), San Hassani (pink) and Samuli Emery (green). The final was live-streamed on Yle Areena from Tanssin Talo (the House of Dance) in Kaapelitehdas, May 2022.

Linda Ilves: Embodied

A concert for music and movement.

"Linda Ilves: Embodied" is a work of my compositions I composed during the fall of 2023, which was performed in the Music Center's Black Box, December 2023.

This work is the result of how somatic movement practices and movement research influenced my music making and performance in this concert.

The need for this piece came from a desire to better understand and make use of all that my body knows as a professional dancer and how this knowledge translates into music composition. It is an on-going process which I will dig into deeper during the next few years.

All compositions were composed, produced and arranged by me apart from 2, which were co-created with a sound designer/music producer  (Sebastian Kurtén) and a percussionist (João Luis).
